This longish, straight away par four requires a well-placed drive to avoid a large bunker situated to gobble up shots that drift left. Longer hitters will also find themselves blocked by mature trees if they go too far right. Beyond the bunker is a small gully that runs across the fairway about 120 metres from the green. Balls often end up in this area, particularly during summer. The second shot requires care because the elevated green, which has no bunkers, is cut in half by a deep swale that can throw both approach shots and putts off-line. Avoid going long or left because the recovery is difficult.
